I will try to get this updated to where we are currently as well as maybe add a clip or two of some racing as we go along. Unfortunately, I do not have most of the first three years of progress as that computer died without any backup. Three years ago I decided that the very mild small bock and the muncie just wasn't what I was looking for performance wise. So I disassembled her and started all over. Here is where we were in 05.......
Small block, 4 speed, 4 wheel drum brakes. original front and rear suspension. 1/8 mile time..lol....about high 11 maybe.

That car is neat period. Any plans to paint it, or will it always be in black suede?

Eventually. I really still haven't decided on a color scheme yet. There are several different ways I could go at the moment. I like a couple very different ideas. I guess we will just have to see............

Could always do the two tone like the old stockers.

I have thought hard about painting it back to the original colors. It was original shoreline biege over neptune green. It would look lie this...kinda.

I really like the look of solid black with real fire too similar to this...

BTW, that is the coolest car with the ugliest wheels ever put on a tri five!

ChrisJ I believe that is just considered a Chevy station wagon. A Nomad was 2 dr station wagon. That is still a very nice car.

I think we still have the HD, I will look for it. My first car was almost a nomad, but that's another long story. Instead my first car was a 55 chevy 2 dr post 210. I got it for my 14th birthday. I got $78 for my birthday, and dad kicked in the other $100. So for $178 we brought this jewel home. It had nine coats of paint on it, two of which were put on with a heavy roller. Today this car would bring 10K in the same shape easily.......

Actually there is a a 4 door wagaon, a 2 door wagon, a 2 door sedan delivery and the 2 door Nomad all four are different.

The sedan delivery doesn't have side windows in the cargo area I believe.

You're really making me want to go get an old station wagon. Something that could pull a trailer with a lite Mustang on it.

I adore Nomad's...
My dad had a Nomad...It was a 2 door wagon...
I almost had one when I was 20 but couldn't scrape the extra $500 up for it...Had $5300 and the guy wanted $5800 and I had to have something to drive stat so I had to walk...Sadtimes...

I really love the wagons. I will have another one hopefully. I really want a 57 sedan delivery but right now I have my hands full with the 55 and the Mazda. However, if the Mazda were to find a new home, I might be able to get one then....

Ever consider painting it back to a stockish scheme and doing an old nostalgia drag car look, without doing any of the non-reversable stuff lol.
